ICSI is a specialised form of IVF where a single, carefully selected sperm is injected directly into an egg to achieve fertilisation. It’s most commonly recommended when male-factor infertility — such as low sperm count, poor motility, or abnormal sperm morphology — makes conventional IVF fertilisation less likely to succeed.
